Wednesday night: Get Get Down - Your new weekly house music desination

This Wednesday will be the first of mine and local fave Zebo's new 'Get Get Down' party. Each Wednesday night it'll be going down at Berlin (954 W. Belmont) in Chicago from 11pm to 4am. The night is themed around house music in all it's many varieties. We'll basically be playing any and everything that could even loosely fall underneath the general house umbrella, be it old, new, disco, french, ghetto, fidget, blog, micro... whatever. Each week will also feature a special guest and we'll be kicking off the first one nicely with our boy Skyler joining us for the night.

It's gonna be a raging good party no doubt and a great mid-week late night destination for those of you in the Boystown, Lakeview, etc. neighborhoods. We've been talking about trying to bring some top-notch talent through and are exploring ideas for more theme-oriented nights where we could feature, say, the music of specific eras, labels or whatever else strikes our fancy. One thing's for certain... The music is gonna kill every week without a doubt. Both Zebo and I are really excited to kick this project off and we look even more forward to seeing you all have a good time there.

... And just for kicks, and because it's my favorite house tune of all time, here's "Tessio" for you in nearly all of it's 10+ minute glory (though frankly the quality of the audio is quite trashed). What a classic. If I ever make a song that good I might be forced to quit. Just sayin'.
