Bad Meaning Good 3

This coming Monday night will mark the third edition of mine and DJ Intel's 'Bad Meaning Good' movie night and a mighty good one it's going to be indeed. For the latest chapter in the 'Bad Meaning Good' saga, we'll be enlisting the cinematic exploits of two of history's very worst films.

Playing first, from 8-10:
Hobgoblins (1988)

Tagline:
"Be careful what you wish for... You just might get it!"

Synopsis:
While on duty at an abandoned movie studio, rent-a-cop Kevin, unwittingly unleashes a throng of malevolent, alien hobgoblins that have been trapped in a dusty film vault for 30 years. When the creatures begin to wield their power to manifest humans' wildest sexual fantasies, pandemonium and death ensue in director Rick Sloane's creepy horror flick.

... It deserves to be noted that 'Hobgoblins' ranks second only to 'Gigli' in IMDb's worst movies list; a distinction that us shitty cinephiles would consider honorary.

Troll 2 (1990)

Tagline (or taglines... I suppose there were just too many great things to say about this movie):

"One was not enough!"

"Be afraid...be twice as afraid!"

Synopsis:
A young child is terrified to discover that a planned family trip is to be haunted by vile man-eating monsters out of his worst nightmare. His attempt to save his beloved family is assisted by the spectre of his deceased grandfather. Also, there are NO trolls in this movie, only goblins.

... Due to its atrocious acting, campy dialog and seemingly endless amounts of unintentional comedy, Troll 2 has developed a cult status on par with ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’. According to Yahoo! Movies Troll 2 is "by pretty much any measure... one of the worst films ever made"
